Saving the Image to Flash When Booting from the Network 4-19
2. Press B to boot the system. Do this only after you have
made all configuration changes to the LX and saved the
configuration.
L MRV recommends that you leave Boot from
network flash on if you are booting from the
network. By doing so, you provide a fallback method
of booting in the event the network becomes
unreachable.
Saving the Image to Flash When Booting
from the Network
The Save image to flash when boot from network option
lets you save the software image from the network to flash
when booting from the network.
X To save the software image to flash
1. Press f to toggle between yes and no. To save the
software image to flash when booting from the network,
choose yes.
2. After you finish configuring the ppciboot options and save
the configuration, press B to boot the system.
